Fewer silent rejections.
OverQualified exists so that a good candidate is not filtered out by a badly formatted PDF or a CV that undersells them.
Why it exists
OverQualified started with a problem that is easy to describe and hard to fix: good candidates in Egypt and the wider MENA region were not getting interviews, and nobody could tell them why. The CV was fine to a human eye. It was not fine to the software that reads it first, or to the recruiter who had six seconds and forty other applications.
Most CV tools solve the wrong half of that. They make a document look good. They do not tell you whether it reads as a mid-level engineer or a junior one, whether the tracking system will parse your two-column layout, or whether the Arabic in your PDF will render as letters or as boxes. So we built the half that was missing: an honest score with reasons, a builder that produces PDFs which survive parsing, and a job workspace that tailors the same CV to the posting in front of you.
It is built in Egypt, for a market where most global tools do not bother with local payment, Arabic shaping, or the job boards people here actually use.
What we hold ourselves to
Honest scoring
The analysis rates the document, not you, and every point on the score comes with the reason and the fix. No flattery, no vague "consider improving".
PDFs that pass the machine
Single-column, text-based templates that applicant tracking systems can read. Arabic exports with correct letter shaping and right-to-left layout, checked on real parsers.
Built for MENA
Job Radar pulls from boards that cover Cairo, Riyadh and Dubai, not only remote-US listings. Pricing in EGP, local payment, interface in Arabic and English.
One workspace per application
Paste a posting and get a match score, the gaps, a tailored CV and a cover letter draft in one place. Tailoring means rewording what is true, never inventing experience.
Your data stays yours
CVs are stored so you can come back to them, never sold and never shared with employers. Delete your account and everything goes with it.
Small team, fast fixes
OverQualified is built and run by a small team. Bugs and feature requests reach the people who write the code, usually the same day.
